M-Eating

Combining Cycladic traditions with a twist of modernity, Panagiotis Menardos is considered one of the finest chefs in the archipelago. Still, Menardos decided to serve ideal local food when he opened his restaurant in 2019. Like an epic narrator, he adds a new culinary chapter to his gastronomic menu every year. Try the sea bass filet in a sweet and spicy tomato sauce served with baby potatoes and a freshly baked Mediterranean bruschetta, or vacuum-cooked pork fillet with a light mushroom sauce with a parsley root puree a rich Naxos graviera mousse. Every recipe has its origins deep in the Mykonian and Cycladic heritage. With just one exception, all the ingredients produced in the Cyclades, from the meat to the cheese.

Maereio

Maereio

Situated in the beating heart of Chora for almost twenty years, Maereio is a tiny but truly Mykonian taverna. Owned by twin brothers Isidoros and Dimitris Monoyios, the restaurant is open eight months a year. It is proud to be “the first to open and the last to close.” The brothers’ favorite dishes are Asemina’s meatballs (based on their mother’s recipe), Maereio’s local sausage with feta and vegetables, and a plate of louza, local cold cuts. The menu is a tasty show-off of the Cycladic soul, simplicity, and authenticity. Sitting at the bar with a glass of the house wine, sympathizing with neighbors naturally comes as patrons slip easily into barefoot sociability.

Kalita

One name is consistently top of the food critics’ list – Kalita. Located in the garden of the Fresh Hotel, you’ll eat at courtyard tables encircled by palm trees, lavender, and rosemary. That’s why it’s the perfect setting for devouring the finest Greek cuisine.

Head Chef Vaios Ntoytsias enriches classic Greek flavors with modern techniques. For the main course, we highly recommend the Greek lamb cooked in a hull of clay stuffed with smoked cheese and Cretan risotto. Our favorite starter was Angel’s hair rolls stuffed with goat cheese, smoked pancetta & sweet quince. The baklava mille-feuille with masticha ice cream and thyme honey hit the spot for a sugary treat. They also have an innovative cocktail menu and some excellent Greek wines.

COYA Mykonos

With top restaurants already established in Paris, London, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, COYA has decided to bring its famous contemporary Peruvian Cuisine to Mykonos. With influences from Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine, COYA has created a unique experience. Located in the core of Mykonos town, the restaurant’s design is elegant and contemporary. It includes an open-air dining area, our favorite place to eat. Coya will be one of the hottest tickets in town for the 2023 season. It’s perfect for that extra memorable celebration with a group of friends.

COYA’s menu is tempting, with rich, colorful Peruvian dishes perfect for sharing. Highlights include the Atún Chifa Ceviche (Yellowfin tuna, soy, sesame seeds, shrimp cracker), Gambas a la Chalaca Tiraditos (Josper tiger prawns, coconut, aji amarillo), and the Chuletas de Borrego (Lamb chops, crushed aubergine, garlic chips). We recommend the Ganache de Caramelo (Salted caramel ganache, pisco, raspberry sorbet) if you have a sweet tooth.
