Maspalomas Gay Pride is one of Europe’s most significant and most celebrated gay events, with tens of thousands of locals and tourists flocking to the Spanish island of Gran Canaria each Spring. It is a trendy gay hotspot any time of the year, thanks to its dreamy beaches, the year-round temperate climate, and, the Yumbo Center – an LGBTQ enclave of bars, restaurants, and clubs. However, during Maspalomas Pride, held in May every year, things reach an all-time high, with thousands of pride fans flocking to this island paradise to celebrate their Pride under the sun.

Torremolinos Gay Pride

Torremolinos Pride may be one of the youngest pride events in Spain, but it is quickly establishing itself on the annual gay calendar as a fun Spanish event not to be missed. Torremolinos Gay Pride is an eight-day celebration of gay life on the Spanish Costa del Sol. The town swells with visitors from Spain and beyond. Last year, more than 50,000 people attended the event.

Ibiza Gay Pride

Ibiza Gay Pride is one of the most significant LGBTQ events celebrated in Spain’s Balearic islands. Spain is one of the most LGBTQ-friendly countries in Europe, so it makes sense that there are many Prides across the country. Ibiza Pride first took place during the 1990s. Since then, it has continued attracting thousands of pride partygoers from around the globe to participate in the annual jubilant festivities.

Usually held in June, over 3-4 days, Ibiza Gay Pride comprises various events and activities catered to different people. Enjoy everything from art, exhibitions, and sports activities to the impressive Pride Parade and post-pride parties at iconic Ibiza clubs, including Amnesia, Bora Bora, and Privilege.

Sitges Gay Pride

Sitges Gay Pride is one of the most significant pride events in Spain and, in fact, Europe. It started in 2009, and since then, it has provided an incredible celebration by the sea. Regular staples in Sitges Pride include the Pride Village, which transpires by the beachfront, and the fabulous Pride Parade, which usually takes place in the late afternoon and fills the city streets with loads of Pride and revelry. As usual, you can look forward to an open-air stage, celebrity guests, international DJs, and more.

The Madrid Gay Pride (known as Orgullo Madrid) features by far the most famous gay parade in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Each year, Gay Pride Madrid attracts millions of people, filling the streets to party and celebrate LGBTQ life. But can you be surprised? Gay Pride Barcelona (Barcelona orgullo in Spanish) draws thousands of LGTBQ revelers worldwide to the gorgeous Catalonian capital each year. And for good reason. Barcelona Pride always puts on a complete and fab program of events: music, workshops, dance, sports, live shows, and exhibitions! And, of course, the miles of golden beaches and great gay nightlife are just an added incentive.

Benidorm Pride rightly names itself the ‘European Summer Closing Pride’ event! While Benidorm Pride only began as a small gathering in 2011, it has quickly become an enormous success, with guys and gals flocking from Europe to this generous Spanish town, keen to discover one last Pride of the year.
