The Tuerreda beach in South Sardinia is one of the most spectacular beaches in the area. The deep Caribbean water, the green shrubs, and the light golden color of the delicate sand will make you fall in love with this natural wonder.
You can find the beach on the Capo Spartivento peninsula, 5km from Chia and 58km from the capital Cagliari. In a cove between Capo Malfatano and Capo Spartivento, Tuerredda stretches for over half a kilometer and is absolutely a jewel with scenery resembling that of the Caribbean.
The tiny island, just a few hundred meters from the beach, is a tiny world all on its own, in which you can spend a few hours lying on the stand or on the hot, smooth rocks.
The nearby coastline combines gentle and rugged stretches, and rocky belts separate a series of little beaches. Most importantly, thanks to its shape, the beach is well sheltered from the wind. That’s why its sea is almost always calm and clear, perfect for long swims with a mask and flippers or snorkeling.
Are there any facilities on the beach?
Yes, there are. So, you can enjoy the innumerable top-quality services offered by the beach establishments, canoe and pedalo rentals, trips in rubber dinghies, and nearby bars and restaurants.
Note: You cannot smoke on the beach, only in bars.
You can reach it by boat or car along the scenic road (provincial road 71). Additionally, we recommend you not to miss the chance to wander around the lovely spots along the coast. Namely, Teulada and Chia (Domus de Maria) offer countless other dazzling beaches like Is Arenas in Porto Pino, Porto Tramatzu, and others.
How much do you pay in Tuerredda?
You pay for the parking 5 euros a day. There are also bars along the beach to go to the bathroom.
