In this article, we will talk about Harry Style’s upcoming movie “My Policeman” and the reported sex gay scenes.
The film, based on the famous book by Bethan Roberts, follows a love triangle in the 1950s.
After landing a starring role in Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling, Harry Styles will also take the lead in My Policeman, the film adaptation of Bethan Roberts’s 2012 novel. With yet another film project on the way, the former One Direction member will ram through the acting lane. And this time, the “King Alfred” from The Last Kingdom will join him. Here’s what you need to know.
“My Policeman” is a queer ’50s love story.
First of all, according to the book synopsis, the story focuses on a heartbreaking love triangle in 1950s Brighton, England: A woman named Marion falls in love with a man named Tom. Years later, Tom strikes up a romance with a man named Patrick after meeting him at a museum. With homophobia rampant during the period, it’s “safer” for Tom, a policeman, to marry Marion. So she and Patrick have to secretly share him “until one of them breaks and three lives are destroyed.”
Deadline reported that the film adaptation began in the 1990s. An encounter between the elderly Tom and Patrick spurs them to re-examine their love affair 40 years prior. Other plot details for the on-screen drama are still unknown.
My Policeman and steamy sex scenes
According to an insider, Styles will have two sex scenes with David Dawson, his on-screen lover. The singer is also set to have one nude scene on his own.
“Not much will be left to the imagination,” the source told The Sun. “Harry is throwing himself into this new role and is truly excited about the challenge, even though it’s an intimidating task.”
The Conclusion of the Article, Harry Styles’s new movie My Policeman
Styles have famously declined to specify his sexuality. Some fans have taken his status as an ally, openness, and other visual cues in his projects as a tacit admission that he is queer, but the artist himself has not confirmed this.
