Plaka Beach in Naxos used to be just a nudists’ beach. It is now one of the most popular beaches there.
During high season, there are many families with children and young people. Its main characteristic is the long and vast white sand and turquoise waters.

A brief intro into Placa Beach on Naxos
In Plaka, many taverns offer excellent views and local cuisine. There is also no shortage of beach-front café-bars in the area, some of which bring you your beverages and snacks on the beach.
The beach is partially organized. So, if you don’t want to rent an umbrella, you can easily find a place under the sun. But we don’t recommend it, as the sun is extreme in the summer.
The beach is also a favorite for nudists, who flock mainly off-season. You can find them in parts that need to be more organized.
How to reach the beach
Buses are very regular, especially during the high season. It is the most common way to get to Plaka. There are many parking places, and the beach is less crowded than Agios Prokopios, so having a car is also a good option.
Where to stay
Many accommodations exist, including hotels, studios, apartments, and rooms. There are only a few big Plaka hotels. Most of them are small family-owned units.
Remember, it is always good to know your preferences, and only then start picking up suitable apartments/hotels for you. As we frequently use public transport, we often consider the following parameters; distance from the beach, bus station, town center, host’s ranking, etc. Sometimes more is less, but you already know how that goes.
