Everybody’s Talking About Jamie

Following multiple delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, Amazon Prime’s adaption of one of Britain’s most beloved gay musicals of all time premiered in September to highly positive reviews. Rookie Max Horwood, who took over the title character from co-stars John McCrea and Layton Williams, was lauded for his performance as the Sheffield teen, who overcomes anti-LGBTQ+ prejudice and discrimination to become a drag queen. With everything that’s happened over the past year, the musical’s uplifting message and infectious numbers arrived perfectly.

The Boys in the Band

It tells a story about Michael, a writer for The New York Times, traveling to Tel Aviv for work. When Alexis (Félix Lefebvre) capsizes off the coast of Normandy, David (Benjamin Voisin) comes to the rescue. He soon opens the younger boy’s eyes to a new horizon of friendship, art, and sexual bliss. Maschile singolare (or Mascarpone)

The film tells a story about Antonio, a 30-year-old man whose life finds an unexpected twist when his husband suddenly dumps him, whom he depends on psychologically and economically. Therefore, he must find a new place to stay, a job, and a new purpose. Eventually, Antonio finds a room in an apartment owned by Denis and starts to work in a bakery owned by attractive Luca while attending pastry school.
We loved it because it was easy to digest. Furthermore, we loved the character development.

The Man with the Answers

Victor is a twenty-something ex-diving champion working and living with his sick grandmother in a Greek seaside town. Troubled after her death, he decides to travel to Germany to visit his estranged mother. On the ferry to Italy, he meets Matthias, a talkative young German on his way home. Eventually, Matthias persuades Victor to take him along, and as they drive north, Victor’s uptight, repressive personality clashes with the more free-spirited Matthias.
