He is an American actor known for his roles in The Kissing Booth film series and Red, White & Royal Blue, and the TV series Minx. Perez was born in Chicago on December 24, 1991, and grew up in Chesterton, Indiana. He attended Chesterton High School, where he was a swimmer. Perez is of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Mexican descent. He is the third youngest of eight children and used to work at the family auto body shop on weekends. Perez earned a swimming scholarship to Fordham University but turned it down to attend UCLA, where he majored in Spanish, Culture, and Community with a minor in TV and Films.

Taylor Zakhar Perez is a talented American actor who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. He started his journey by performing in musicals in opera houses at an early age before transitioning to modeling. After moving to Los Angeles, he took photos in his room with a sheet as a backdrop, which he sent in manila envelopes with self-tapes. His hard work paid off when he landed roles in popular shows like iCarly, Suburgatory, Young & Hungry, Code Black, and Scandal.

In 2020, Taylor Perez played the role of Marco Valentin Peña in Netflix’s The Kissing Booth 2 alongside Joey King. To prepare for his part, he took choreography and guitar lessons. He then reprised the role in the third film, The Kissing Booth 3, released in 2021.
