Navagio Beach on Zakynthos
Often featured in magazines and travel guides as one of the most beautiful beaches globally, Navagio Beach in Zakynthos is located on the island’s northern side and can be reached only by boat. However, it is still not difficult to get there. Namely, regular boat trips depart from different ports, like Zante Town and Laganas. More importantly, you can admire the mesmerizing beauty of the sea colors in contrast to the white sand on the shore. Furthermore, let us tell you that Navagio Beach, meaning the Shipwreck, took its name from an old shipwreck on the coast today.
Egremni on Lefkada
Egremni is an outlandish great beach in Lefkada with exotic blue water and soft sand on the shore. The view of Egremni from the cliff above is awe-inspiring, and visitors have to get down many steps to reach the beach. Part of the beach is organized with sunbeds, umbrellas, and a beach bar. Still, the most significant part of Egremni is unorganized and, therefore, great for admiring nature in the most beautiful spot on the planet.
Voutoumi beach on Antipaxos
Voutoumi is a gorgeous pebble beach on the northeastern side of Antipaxos Island. The water here is shallow, ideal for all ages, while snorkeling near the rocks is excellent.
The beach is also a much-preferred destination for private yachts, water taxis, and tour boats. Sunbeds on the coast are few, so it is ideal for bringing your shades provided by the tour operators at Paxi.
Myrtos beach on Kefalonia
Myrtos is Kefalonia’s most famous beach. More impressively, it is among the most photographed places in the world. Paleokastritsa on Corfu
Paleokastritsa means old fortress because of an ancient castle on the rocky cave where the Monastery of the Virgin stands. It is arguably the most scenic village on the island of Corfu, located 23 km northwest of Corfu Town. Furthermore, it offers a spectacular view of the blue bay and six sandy and pebbled beaches surrounded by olive tree forests, creating captivating scenery. So, it is one of the finest beaches on Corfu island.
Porto Katsiki beach on Lefkada
It is one of Lefkada’s main beach attractions and among the main beaches in Greece.
More impressively, Porto Katsiki’s natural beauty is genuinely unique. Abrupt white cliffs form a wild yet magnificent backdrop and a striking antithesis to the deep blue waters of the Ionian Sea.
Rich and famous people visit it on their private yachts. The others see it in their cars. However, you can also reach it by taxi-boat from the villages of Vassiliki and Nidri.
Petani beach on Kefalonia
Petani is a magnificent beach located about 35 km west of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. It consists of blue crystal waters and a stunning landscape of massive verdant cliffs reaching the blue sea. The water deepens right away, and Petani usually has big waves.
The beach is mostly covered with sand and pebbles scattered along the shore. Furthermore, it is partly organized with umbrellas and sundecks. There are also a couple of taverns close to the beach.
Gerakas beach on Zakynthos
Gerakas is considered one of the most attractive beaches of Zakynthos for its turquoise waters and unique unspoiled features. It lies 18 km south of the capital. Its golden sand offers shelter for the endangered sea turtle Caretta-Caretta.
Most importantly, the beach of Gerakas is one of the finest examples of the enchanting landscape that characterizes the island of Zakynthos.
Kefalonia Antisamos beach
Antisamos Beach is arguably one of Kefalonia’s most promising destinations for swimming and sunbathing. In addition, it distinguishes itself for its natural beauty, which consists of turquoise waters and surrounding green hills with lush vegetation. We have to reveal that Antisamos became world-famous when scenes of the Hollywood movie Captain Corelli’s Mandolin were shot there.
Mizitres Beach on Zakynthos
Mizithres are two rocks (named after a local cheese) in the southwestern area of Zakynthos. Before the 2018 earthquake, they were the Mizithres Islands. But, since 2018, the newly landslide-formed white pebble beach has become increasingly famous, ranking among the top three most Instagrammed places on the island. You can only reach it by boat.

Greece offers some of the most spectacular beaches on the planet. And most of them (in our opinion) come from the Ionian islands. The sear color is genuinely breathtaking. So, once you visit the islands, you won’t want to leave.
